for some reason the bushmaster manufactured magazines are a very light silver, but they are made out aluminum to answer your question. I'd recommend a Ruger 10/22 for a first rifle, I believe it to be legal in all states, it's the silver scoped rifle on one of my uploaded pics, and Federal law states you only have to be 18 to own a rifle! Oregon firearm laws are ridiculously lax for being a very liberal state in general.. for instance, as long as one has a clean record you could walk into any given gun store and walk out with a gun in less than 20 minutes. With these three requirements: 1. Funds 2. Pass background Check 3. Willing to give up your thumb prints. You also do not have to "register" firearms in Oregon, meaning, I've sold ppl firearms face-to-face with a simple bill of sale just for my own record/protection. We can also have hi-capacity magazines, folding stocks, SBR's (short barrel rifles).. Even spring loaded knives, only one thing I don't like about Oregon "laws" is we don't allow fireworks that fly over 10 ft off the ground, no bottle rockets or firecrackers or mortars, I have to drive 1.5 hours to get the good ones.. Major downfall of Oregon is the high rate of meth/heroine addicts/users, which leads to more property crime, and our property tax is ridiculous, although there is no sales tax...
